About the Job:

The Head of Technical Product Management will report to the CTO and lead the product and design team with more than 60 members. The leader develops and drives the overall strategy and roadmap of the company’s technical product portfolio.

This position has the unique opportunity to lead the transformation of our technology products to meet the everchanging needs and desires of our customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Work alongside the Chief Technology Officer to execute the company's technology strategy, incorporating technology in innovative and effective ways. You will help define the product vision, roadmaps, and feature prioritization framework.
Work closely with the executive team to ensure the product portfolio aligns with the company's overall strategy and vision.
Transform and lead a high-performing technical product and design team by helping the team to master the product management craft, providing coaching and mentorship to support their professional growth.
Oversee the product management practice ensuring best practices are followed and products are built to the highest standards.
Define and track key metrics to measure the success of products, build customer feedback loop, foster experimentation, and learning culture, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, business partners to ensure alignment on product priorities and successful product launches.
Collaborate with the Customer Experience team on market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for product innovation across various channels and forms of interactions.
Collaborate with Underwriting, Insurance Product and Claims teams to bring innovation to underwriting, insurance product design, and claims practices.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ship products to grow our business through insurance partnerships, new state expansion and technology innovation.

Education:

Minimum

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred

Master’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum:

15+ years of experience in technical product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Preferred:

Experience of launching core insurance systems.
Experience of transforming teams to a modern product management team

Skills & Abilities:

Minimum

Proven track record of developing and launching successful products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Detail oriented and a willingness to be hands on in designing processes to support change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, collaborate with, inspire, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and build relationships with external stakeholders.
Experience building and leading high-performing product teams, with a focus on coaching and mentorship.
Strong track record of leading teams through change by focusing on the people first.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and product management best practices.
